[Euro 2024 E-Mobility Partner Is BYD]
Well, this is something interesting. The Euros is one of the biggest events in Europe. Football (soccer) is the most popular sport in Europe and the Euros is the second biggest tournament in world football after the World Cup. Apart from its significance and happiness, it can be observed that, like the world cup, the Euros occurs once in four years- since 1960. Therefore, the whole thing is another big deal – an extremely big deal.
Now let us change the scene to the electric vehicle market. Europe has about 23% of plugin electric vehicles sold as all new vehicles and 15% are full batteries. Obviously, the new EVs work in Europe should be viewed as some portion of its inheritance auto world and numerous these new electric vehicles are created by German, French and other European auto makers. These are automakers that hold a significant political power and desire little change with the industry set to revolutionize, as it electrifies. One problem faced by the electric vehicle market in Europe is that the largest and most competitive the same is German market which produces up to 10% of the world total and brands that have dominated and achieved in German market are they are coming to Europe and trying to open new sales networks. Indeed, European lawmakers have begun to take steps to restrain or mute the capacity of Chinese automakers to compete in the European EV market, but at this point it’s rather unclear how successful that would be, and what degrees as well as measures that are Chinese EV brands would eventually take. And that is what leads us back to the discussions of BYD– Eur 2024.
BYD is the biggest EV seller in China and worldwide. It is now in EV market in Europe but the firm remains a small player in that region. Nevertheless, undoubtedly, this summer, the Chinese auto giant is trying to piercce this summer. BYD sponsors UEFA Euro 2024 and becomes its official e-mobility partner. The company is to get a lot of exposure, thus placing they just released electric cars in front of eyes of millions of Europeans in a very entertaining way. Not to mention the fact that BYD has mastered the art of manufacturing world class, stylish, futuristic electric vehicles at competitive price tags. For Europeans that have encountered the brand – either as a first introduction or through more sophisticated way than ever before – they should understand that BYD EVs are good options in the current Auto age, and they might be clearer than EVs from European brands familiar to these people.
First of all, EURO 2024 takes place in Germany — in 10 stadiums all over the country. Obviously, the Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes, Opel, and Porsche are in Germany. It is the continent’s most significant auto market. It is also the latter’s European residence. BYD will take their way right to the core of their biggest competitors in Europe for more than a month (Euro 2024 will be held from June 14 to July 14 but, as we already can see, the advertising is launched earlier). There will be large potentials at the 10 stadiums, the opportunity to attract people who are into BYD’s electric vehicles while in an environment that is associated with sports fun. They further describe their presence at the official fan zones as dynamic giving fans a chance to watch live matches and enjoy fun entertainment that further boosts the football taste with captivating and sustainable activities. The Euros is one of the biggest ones in Europe. Football (soccer) dominates the top sport in Europe and the Euros is the second biggest competition after the World Cup in international football. It becomes even more of a landmark event as well as an absolute blast, as it happens only every four years, as the World Cup, since 1960. Second, it’s huge — a very big deal.
Now let us pass to the electric vehicle market for a while. In Europe, the sales of plugin electric vehicles represent 23% although in comparison to their full electric BEV kins, this figure stands at 15%. Sure the legacy automotive industry in Europe is humongous, and many of these new EVs are emerging from German, French (not forgetting other European auto brands). These car manufacturers have so much influence in politics, and they aim to still have a share of control over the domain, irrespective of its electric transformation. Another issue is that the biggest and most saturated market for electric vehicles in the whole world is the market of EVs in China, and brands that have been leaders there and are conquering Europe are developing their own distribution networks. The European legislators have begun to curb or instead dampen the competitive ability of Chinese carmakers in the European EV market but the outcome is absolutely not clear as to how well this works and how little or big the growth will be of Chinese EV brands in Europe. That’s what leads us to the BYD–Euro 2024 news.
